baiklah. pertama sekali maaf kerana dah lama tak menaip untuk blog ni. rasa macam berdosa pulak mengabaikan kebajikan blog ni. gittuewwww. haha

apa-apa pun, dari 7hb Disember hari tu hingga 23hb Disember yang akan datang, Big Bad Wolf Books telah mengadakan jualan buku besar-besarannya untuk sekali lagi pada tahun ini. percayalah bila aku kata ni, kerana aku telah pergi jualan buku tu sebanyak LIMA KALI. aku ulangi, LIMA KALI.

lima kali kali lawatan telah membuatkan aku berjaya meraih lebih dari 25 buah buku. 15 pada hari pertama, 10 pada hari kedua, 3 pada hari ketiga, 4 pada hari keempat dan 5 pada hari kelima. jumlah keseluruhan = 37 buah buku!

begitulah dia kalau orang tu dah gila buku kan? hiks. ini lah antara punca kenapa sem ni aku jatuh merudum aku punya pointer [selain dari aktiviti kolej yang sangat SANGAT padat]. dah macam katalog pun ada dah aku tengok kat atas ni. 

moga2 sem depan aku tak perlu berbelanja dengan banyak untuk buku2 lagi. boleh jimat duit sikit sem depan. =3

hello. maafkan aku kerana dah lama aku tak menulis kat blog ni. sibuk katanya. baru-baru ni, aku lebih banyak mengaktifkan diri dalam Twitter. kalau nak jumpa kat twitter, search saja @rizal_everdeen. mih mih mih.

Ensuring the orderly transfer of assets

Qualifying as an estate planner
Students interested in this profession should enroll in any one of the professional financial planning courses available in Malaysia. Two of more popular courses include Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Registered Financial Planner (RFP). 


To register in this courses, SPM or equivalent is required. The courses will cover areas such as risk management and insurance planning, tax planning, investment planning, retirement planning and estate planning.


What will I do?
An estate planner assists clients in the accumulation, conservation and transfer of estate with a goal of helping clients maintain financial security for themselves and their family. An 'estate' in this context comprises the net assets of deceased person. 


Opportunities in estate planning and related areas have grown over the past two decades in Malaysia. Typically estate planners are involved in :

• Designing and developing estate plans and drafting related legal documents (eg. will and trust).
• Administering estates and trusts.
• Developing strategies to reduce potential estate and gift taxes.
• Business succession planning.
• Insurance planning and retirement planning.

An estate planner's job combines professionalism and entrepreneurship. It requires a high level of social skills in addition to technological knowledge. The best part about this career is that you will have an opportunity to work as an entrepreneur and not necessarily remain as an employee.

Remuneration for estate planners in Malaysia is mainly performance-based and linked to the type of financial service provided. Estate planners have the potential to earn unlimited incomes, with attractive non-monetary incentives such as time flexibility and extensive training and support.


Who will employ me? 
Employers will mainly come from financial service providers such as those involved in writing wills (eg. Rockwills), trust and estate planning, and personal financial planning.

Statistician 

Analyzing, interpreting and presenting information.

Qualification routes
To become statistician, you will need a degree in statistics, mathematics, economics or operational research. You will probably begin your career as a statistical officer and learn on the job from more senior statisticians. You will be required to work under the supervision of experienced staff until you are ready to take your own projects with more responsibility. 


You may also need training in areas like report writing, presentations and using specialized statistical computer software. A relevant postgraduate qualification such as Master's or PhD, and advanced knowledge of statistical software packages is helpful and often recommended for higher level positions. Research and academic positions in institutions of higher education require at least a Master's degree and usually a PhD in statistics.


What will i do?
As a statistician, you will apply mathematical and statistical concepts, as well as use specialized software applications, to analyse data in context. Statistician are concerned with the collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of quantitative information using computer software. 


You work in teams, collaborating with professionals from a wide variety of fields such as health, education, government, financial sectors, the environment, industry, market research and transportation, among others. Statisticians look for trends or patterns to help decision making and recommend strategies to policymakers on key issues. Many economic, social, political, financial and military decisions cannot be made without sound statistical advice.

Is it for me?
You should have a liking for numbers, which means your favorite subjects should be mathematics and statistics. A strong background in economics is an added advantage when applying for jobs in banks and financial institutions. Statisticians must be skillful in using computers for statistical analysis, wordprocessing and electronic communications. 


They should also be able to write good and well-argued reports on their findings in a manner that can be understood by persons without extensive statistical knowledge. In addition, a statistician is also required to communicate effectively with others in a team environment and must be self-motivated. 


How much will I earn?
Starting salaries for graduates will vary from RM2000 to RM2500, depending on academic credentials and the nature of the industry. With experience, you should progress to senior level positions and negotiate for an attractive remuneration package.


Who will employ me?
Statisticians have good career prospects in the public and private sectors in the field of science, technology and business. In Malaysia, employment opportunities are mostly available in :

• government agencies, particularly in the statistics department.
• scientific/market research companies.
• pharmaceutical companies.
• universities and colleges.
• banks.
• insurance firms.
• manufacturing.
• fast-moving consumer goods.
• hospitals.

Statisticians who work at universities generally have a mix of teaching and research responsibilities. In the manufacturing or food industry, you are involved in quality control, product development and improvement. This can involve deciding what products to manufacture, and how to price and market products. Statisticians in financial sectors manage assets and liabilities, determining the risks and returns of certain investments. Some statisticians choose to become freelance consultants after gaining several years of work experience.
